Excellent food, friendly staff. Good value for money.

I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the place looks a bit shabby. Drinks are very good priced and nibbles are served all day. Staff very friendly as well. Never tried the food but plates look nice.

We had an evening meal here. Party of six. The food was excellent, the portions hot and good size. Our big problem was the washrooms on the second floor. They ere filthy. They really need to get there act together here.
Barely recommend

We visited this restaurant a couple of times during our stay in Valletta. The menu has a good choice. We enjoyed the anglo-maltese pasta and spaghetti, and the pizza and malteste wrap with salad and chips. There is a menu deal available, however the prices including drinks are reasonable. The service was great and staff were friendly and the food was lovely. We did eat there twice - would recommend it.

Well I cannot thank Carl for the excellent food and service it was my best culinary experience in Malta. Thank you so much for your hospitality and non pushing suggestions regarding the food. Cooked to the perfection I had a seafood plater with sword fish and on the second visit being impressed by the night before I had a lamb shank. Omg what a true treat to both occasions. Thank you again ad will definitely come back again. Btw it was my 50th birthday on Monday hence also a special occasion for the locals and the whole Malta celebrating the St Paul. Thank you Malta x

Visited during my trip to Valetta with my husband, had a great meal (pasta and pizza) which was piping hot and fresh -- the sauce on the pasta was lovely! Alfred served us, and he was an absolute delight. We were made to feel incredibly comfortable, which can be difficult as a tourist. Left with a smile and would 120% recommend!

Coming out from Castille Hotel I turned right into Saint Paul’s, took first left and next right into Merchant Street and walked down to the first tables in the middle of the street, that belongs to Anglo Maltese. The entrance is a bit narrow with a refrigerator showing some food to the right but step in and you’ll find that the localities are quite big.
I found this Anglo Maltese last year and liked it so I chose to come back. It’s not a fancy place but it feels genuine, serves good food and the service is good without being pretentious.
This time I ordered lamb shank with vegetables, sparkling water and had a free glass of red coming with the main dish. While waiting for the food to be cooked I was served a plate of fried(?) bread and grated veggies.
Then I was served a good sized lamb shank with a huge plate of vegetables. You certainly won’t come hungry from Anglo Maltese if you order the traditional Maltese food. I just had a small portion of the vegetables as I kept a corner for a sweet. I ordered fudge and chocalate cake complemented with a small glass of Baileys.
The total of the bill was 22.30 EUR, which I find very economical for the nice food and good service.

Went here as where we had intended to go had a sickly chef! There were six of us and for 6 main courses, 2 bottles of very nice wine (Maltese Falcon, Merlot), 5 vodka/tonics, 2 beers, 2 waters and a glass of house red it was 115 euros!. The staff were friendly and good fun, the service quick and the food perfectly fine. Not fine dining, but tasty enough. Overall a good experience and we'd go again without hesitation.

While wandering along streets of Valetta we came across that restaurant.
Our attention was drawn to the boards mentioning variety of different dishes free drink included for 14.90E. Price just good to us so we decided to try out.
We were not disappointed with it. We returned to that restaurant 3 times what means something...
We tried grilled sword-fish, fried rabbit, octopus stew, grilled lampuki fish. Can not tell you what was the best of it as all meals were very tasty, fresh and smelled really good. A big merit we returned there so many times was also main waiter who was very nice and friendly person.
Next time we go to Malta we will visit that place again.
We recommend it to all!

- Visited for parents anniversary and a family birthday.
- Great location.
- Incredible customer service , all staff was polite and helpful.
- Food was delicious and tasted as though it is homemade.
- Food portions and prices are reasonable.
- Restaurant was well air conditioned and cool , this is especially beneficial at the peak of Maltese summer heat.
- Bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
- Wifi is provided and is of a great connection.
- Was there on 1st September 2018 to celebrate my grandfather's birthday and by just mentioning the fact that it was his birthday, we were given a cake.
- The above mentioned cake was tasty , with chocolate, vanilla and some cherries.
- Staff is great and welcoming.
- Price is overall very reasonable , especially considering the fact that it is situated in the capital of Malta , Valletta.
- Recommended for both families , and large parties (at last visit we were 10 people) as well as a small group of 2-4 people.
- I also recommend it for tourists as it is a great and genuine place where you won't be robbed of your money. But instead fed with scrumptious well cooked Maltese food.
- Will surely visit again!
