Food was amazing, we walked 25 minutes from Sliema and it worths. Taco was excellent and so fresh. Add guacamole.

My boyfriend and I have eaten at this place many times and each time the food tastes better then the last visit. Weird but true. We are now regulars and look forward to each meal there. A must visit for everyone.

I first came here in October whilst in Malta for work, and kept going back for every lunch break. When I found out I was coming back to Malta for work in December, I knew I’d be coming back to Avotaco for lunch. Every. Single. Day. I guess it’s good I’m not stationed permanently in Malta or I’d probably turn into a taco by how often I’d want to get food from there. The food is great, and fresh, and full of flavour. There are also gluten free options, which makes life so much easier for people with coeliac disease who have to eat on the go. And the staff are so polite and friendly - I can’t stress enough how welcoming and patient they can be even when the place is busy with the lunch rush. I’d love to attach photos to the review, but I have repeatedly ended up devouring my tacos before I could even think to stop and take a photo of them. Definitely worth a visit. Or two. Or three.

We have been to Avotaco several times over the last year since we discovered it. We love the food and always enjoy it with a Desperado beer in the friendly atmosphere. Quick and cheap eat and so delicious. Staff are great 😁

From the last year's I have being a regular customer of Avotaco. After trying different restaurants in Malta can say that is the best one in Mexican food. The Chimichangas are just amazing! Full load Nacho's, tacos, burritos. Totally recommend. The service is always good and they help you with a smile. Last visit went with my newborn baby. Even the place is small they manage to help us to find a where to put the pram and enjoy the food.

Very tasty food! Great price/quality ratio, the manager/owner(?) was very polite and overall a great experience. The food was extremely tasty (we had the vegetarian burrito and tortillas). Will definitely be visiting again!

Hands down the best Mexican food on the island. Have been visiting this place for a while now and everything on their menu is delicious. Fresh and colourful ingredients which pair well with the colourful and cheerful atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and the food is always fast and great. It is hard to decide a favourite as all options on the menu are good. A place everyone must visit at least once.

Amazing food. I ordered both takeaway and I also ate at their place in Ta Xbiex. They have a different menu for takeaway and their takeaway menu was more varied than the eat-in menu. The restaurant at Ta Xbiex is very small and I came out smelling of food (or smoke). I wish there was dairy free milk available for coffee. Amazing food nonetheless

I wasn't totally taken with this place, but when you're looking for Mexican/Tex-Mex outside of North America, you have to take what you can get. My two biggest issues with this place are that I wish they used sour cream instead of cilantro cream on everything; and their quesadillas could use a lot more cheese. The flavor profiles are otherwise great, though, and the takeaway experience is seamless and easy.

Really really good Mexican food! We ordered 3 burritos and one naked burrito - all of us were very satisfied with what we got. Meals were prepared from fresh ingredients, were very good seasoned (watch out for habanero!). Prices are reasonable. I don't know if it's gonna change in the future, but they don't accept cash. I don't think it's a big problem but you should be aware of it :-) Overall - highly recommend this place!

We went for a lunch away from the kids while they were in school and really enjoyed it! The food is delicious, the staff friendly and accommodating and the decor is fun and colourful. I would definitely visit again.

I absolutely love this place, ever since I visited back when it was just a food truck in Gzira. As luck would have it, I ended up working right next to the restaurant. Everything on the menu is perfect, the staff are very friendly and the sauces are a nice touch.

A quick rundown of how the menu works was offered to us on entering the establishment. Overall both the burrito and the quesadilla along with the side nachos were quite good. We were served promptly and with a smile.

Found this place by searching for mexican food here at tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. Superfriendly staff and good food, me and my girlfriend shared the tacos, nachos and quesedillas.

This is by far the best Mexican food joint on the island. From the crisp fresh ingredients, to the authentic dishes, this place keeps you coming for more and more. Service is also top notch, with extremely friendly and helpful staff, and portions definitely satisfy the Maltese syandards. A definite must-try!
