BEATI PAOLI Restaurant

This is the most amazing small restaurant that serves amazing quality food. The service is excellent and I would love to go back again. Please book well in advance as it is so popular. Please, if you want a quality exquisite night out with a great atmosphere in Malta this is the place to go. The even better news is that they are going to expand into next door for the Christmas Season and New Year. Hope they continue with their success. Amazing and thank you.

Lovely place! It is better to book before to visit. We ordered daily special menu! Quite small restaurant! We stayed ground floor! There is under ground floor as well and you can see the kitchen! I definitely visit there again! Price also affordable!

We ate here on our first night in Malta and were completely happy with our experience. The restaurant is small with seating for 12 on the main floor and a small number more below ground. The ambience is quietly elegant without being the least bit stuffy or pretentious. The food (antipasti with tomatoes,cheese,eggplant and olives, buried calamari, pasta filled with duck and mushrooms, linguine with pistachio scampi and cream and passionfruit cheese cake) was uniformly delicious. The staff - like everyone in Malta I am starting to realize - was delightful. Highly recommended.

A very popular restaurant with good reason, we ate here on TripAdvisor reports. The food was very tasty and seemed to be seafood orientated. My Sea Bass special was excellent if a little on the large side. We had shared a starter but neither of us could finish our mains, due to the portion size. The wine list was varied with a good selection from various countries including Malta. The staff were professional and extremely helpful. We were glad we booked. as walk ins were being turned away.

What an amazing restaurant! The menu is creative, seasonal and everything is delicious. We had two pasta dishes, then fish and rabbit, then shared a ricotta and pear cake. Everything was amazing. It is very difficult to choose a favorite meal we had in Valletta (the city is full of great restaurants) but our dinner at Beati Paoli may just be that best meal of the trip.

So this was the second time I visited this place, as the first time was great. I had some friends visiting and took them here as it is a really nice place with tasty food as they wanted a bit more of Malta tasting experience. Food was really tasty andd service was great. Although after getting home, both of my friends had serious stomach issues (with the expected consequences). I do not wanna blame the restaurant for this, as we could not verify what was the reason of the sickness, but we did not eat anything else besides sea-food here. Just posting this here as it was our real experience and to make them a bit more cautious in case there was something wrong in the kitchen

I really wanted to love it here, after reading the reviews I was looking forward to something special but received only average. We couldn’t get in on our first night in Valletta so booked for a couple of nights later, the restaurant is tiny. We were seated by the door and the air conditioning was struggling to keep out the cold but no matter. We ordered off the specials board for both starter and main and results were varied. The buffalo mozzarella and prawn starter was mediocre but things improved with the mains. Veal on the bone was very tasty, if a little tough but the standout was my wife’s sea bass which was very good. Unfortunately it couldn’t save the whole experience, the restaurant lacked atmosphere for me and the staff (apart from the chef who came to check everything was ok) were a little surly. All in all only average sadly.

Warm welcome by owners, friendly staff, good vibes and most importantly great food ! The chef cook(s) honored their grandmother’s recipe for the rabbit main course! Would recommend without hesitation !

Our hotel locates just on the other side of the restaurant. We were like should we try the restaurant so closed to the hotel? We are the kind of people who are willing to drive hours for great food😊our decision did not disappointed us! The food is surprisingly superb and the rabbit is so yummy and so "Maltese". We could see the cook doing the magic through the glass and the waiter is very friendly and helpful. They have so many delicious dishes we are dying to try next time... Highly recommended!

We made a reservation two days before the day we wanted to have dinner. Although The restaurant was closed for Christmas holidays our reservation was politely confirmed. As we arrived 19.05 only one table was occupied. We have been given the worst table in the restaurant by the door, Although an other table for 2 was empty. As I expressed some concerns (we will face the outside cold whenever the door will open), The option we have been given was to take a table at the basement! Of course we remained at the table by the door and as a result, during our dinner, we had to face the outside cold when ever someone opened the door. The food ok but nothing special (mains: sea bass and pasta with veal and porcini, starter:fried prawns with mozzarella). The bathroom was not in a good position (the tub was almost ruined) and even the saltshaker was greasy! What a disapointment for the first day after closure for holidays! The service polite but I was expecting more from the 2 nd best Italian restaurant in Valletta , according to TripAdvisor 🤔

The BP is a very small place, spread over two floors. The lower floor is in the basement next to the kitchen. The food is of high quality but the portions are humangous. Service is competent and friendly.

Very intimate restaurant where you are sat in front of kitchen so service and contact to chef is unusual but it works well. Food is of a high standard with no complaints and wine list was sufficient and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend but you need to book!

A return visit to Malta after an absence of several years provided an opportunity for dinner at this recommended restaurant, opened in 2017. It offers carefully prepared local dishes, a courteous staff and an interesting wine card.

The service was very good and the staff attentive to my needs. I ate the rabbit livers which were absolutely delicious, followed by sea bass. Huge portion, I couldn’t finish it unfortunately. Very nice restaurant, I would definitely eat there again.
