Black Gold is a place where you will meet a lot of foreigners and a few Maltese as well. I have not yet tried the food but drinks and even coffee are good there. Staff seem to be mainly Serbian but they are mostly really friendly. Usually underpaid and overworked so try to be as nice as possible. The venue itself has often live music on stage or sport events on screens. Atmosphere is a matter of taste. Easy to socialise with all kind of people even if you're a non smoker like me. 😉

Service is good but apart from that you should not have high expectations from this place. It is what it is. We had full English breakfast and a coffee. The coffee tasted like hot chocolate and the breakfast was good for the cheap price.

Went in to seek refuge from the rain. Got my own menu and seated myself. If I didn't inform the bartender (who then informed the waitress) that I wanted to order, I don't think I would have been served at all. Great value for money in my opinion. Food is okay but for the price I wasn't complaining.

Gluten free options, decent burgers, cocktail happy hours. :) The dishes are average, but well prepared. Not bad. :)
