Cheese & Cuts

I admit, this place was on my radar for months. Finally we went yesterday for the cheese wheel pasta. May I dare say that this is in par with the cacio e pepe we ordered in the best restaurants in Rome?! Seriously, I was pleasantly surprised! The service was also good, and the staff super attentive. We will return to Cheese & Cuts soon - that is a promise. Thank YOU! ❤

We were instructed that the set menu was only available if all the persons at the table ordered it. No exceptions unfortunately. We settled for a cheese platter instead which was good.

Best restaurant in Malta at the moment and will be hard to beat, wine list very good choice and they have specials every single day. Worth a visit but book as seating is limited.

We had a very pleasent experience from start to finish. Cheese and salami platters are already a unique experience plus the pasta from cheese wheel was amazing. Main course we had a combo of chicken and beef grills. Really recomnended

We visited on a Sunday evening after seeing multiple positive reviews online. The place is quite small, located at the very beginning of Mosta (if you're coming up from Bugibba). We were greeted by a cosy ambiance with rustic decor. The staff were plentiful in numbers for such a small establishment. They were very polite and explained the menu thoroughly. The menu here changes every week as fresh goods are imported from Italy. We opted for the degustation menu for 30 euro per person which included a four course meal. The first was a Cheese and Cuts platter consisting of various cheeses, cold cuts, olives, figs, candied fruit, jam, croquettes, sausages etc. This was a big portion and a delightful start. The bread which was brought to the table was so fresh and soft! The second course was spaghetti alla Gricia cooked in a parmesan wheel. The portion was to share but was very large, with fresh crispy guanciale on the side to put on the pasta. The pasta was so cheesy and delicious, the highlight of the entire meal! Wow, spectacular! The third course was a tagliata to share, cooked medium and served with potato wedges and Himalayan salt in a small container on the side. The meat was cooked to perfection: juicy and char-grilled so you can taste the smokiness. The potatoes were salty and delicious. This was spot on! Finally, we were given a choice of desserts and we opted for a white chocolate fondant, served with vanilla Ice cream. This was also impeccable, cooked with the perfect amount of heat to provide the right consistency. Wow! The only minor critique is that the service was quite slow, despite there being a lot of staff. Even the bill took quite some time to arrive and we had to bring it to more than one waiter's attention. However, they were very courteous and made sure we enjoyed each course. Bottom line: amazing food, big quantities, good service and great price! Highly recommended!

The first time visiting this place, and I am not disappointed! We took the set menu and it was amazing from start to finish! Food is simply delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff were very friendly. The waiter who served us explained everything - it is very rare to find someone like him. This is a gem in Mosta. I highly recommend!

I could not recommend this place more! Amazing platters, everything is brought in from Italy and all their food is so so flavourful! The personnel and the chef are friendly and super welcoming. You must try the Roman version of the Neapolitan pizza, la Pinsa. So light you could eat it forever! Then savour their pasta made in a big Parmesan wheel. By now you should be stuffed but happy! If you still feel a bit peckish, try the tagliata or go for dessert. You won’t be disappointed. Well done to the staff and the owner. We will be soon back.

A gem in Mosta. Cheese & Cuts have not only the best platters in Malta but also great friendly and professional service. The platters are different every time you visit and it's always a lovely delicious surprise. Spaghetti in cheese wheel totally delicious and the desserts are a delicious final touch to your meal. Totally recommend a visit.
