Love it! Owner makes the most authentic Maltese dishes.... and the wine selection is amazing!! The place only has 8 covers so attention to each individual customer is obviously a priority there. Must visit when in Malta, for the locals if you havent been, what are you waiting for??

This has been an truly great experience. We were there for the New Year's Eve dinner. We had local dishes, with simple concepts and very high quality. They treated us very warmly and provided nice recommendations, including the local Maltese red wine. Excellent experience.

Found this place through article in Culture Trip app, and it was so worth going up and down small sidestreets and alleys to find it. To say that I had the most fun, hilarity filled, night with charming and gregarious owner Charlie and his wonderful warm assistant Samira, is to say nothing at all! Such a cosy little place, full of history and Charlie's loves, amongst them music, especially jazz. Food is down to earth, classic Maltese dishes, as though you dropped in to your grandmother's for something homey. I opted for antipasti (it is enough for two!) and rabbit. It is the service that takes the crown here, and you feel like you got reunited with long lost family.

This restaurant is exceptional. The building is beautiful and historical, the owner has an impressive wine collection and the service is friendly and professional. They source a lot of their produce from a local farm so have a wide knowledge of the ingredients and the waitress even farms the honey they use. The menu was traditional and the food cooked perfectly, they also add some special touches that really make a difference. This restaurant is run by someone who really knows what they're doing and has a lot of passion and skill. We spent a week in Malta seeking out the top recommend restaurants on the island and this was our favourite. It was also great value, we ate poorer meals for more money while we were there.
