La Valette #297 Republic Street is situated in the majestic building housing the Filarmonica Band Club “La Valette”. Formerly the mansion of a Maltese noble family, the building served as a shopping resort until 1924, when it was acquired by the national Filarmonica Society of “La Valette”. Looking inside from the main street, the first thing one notices is the big statue of the Grand Master Jean De Valette, as a landmark inside the spacious and sun lit atrium. Once inside you are struck by the wide open space, architecture and artworks, some dating back to the order of St. John’s. Whilst keeping alive the gastronomy that for years was synonymous with the place, like all time favorites - the veal tripe (Kirxa) and snails (Bebbux), we also create comfort food and intriguing dishes for everyone’s taste buds.
