am so happy to have been introduced to that Spanish/ South American Restaurant, Amazing food and Tapas to share, The restaurant was filling up quickly (it was almost 8.00 pm on a Sunday night) and we have found a queue when we arrived so luckily we booked a night before , it is a small place with nice crowded ambiance, fantastic for groups or a casual date night. Very attentive and friendly owners and staff. Plus we were informed they will open soon in Spinola Park Carob Tree St Julians wonderful news. One more thing I loved the way they wipe/ clean the tables with a special spray and kitchen paper which is more hygienic and Recycled!!!   Rather than fabric or the same sponge for all tables all day this lead to Bacteria circulation. Thank you La Vida We will definitely visit you again, Strongly recommended especially for those who love Spanish/ Latin American Cuisine and anyone wants to try something different or just fed up of Pasta and Pizza on the the Island. Excellent selection of dishes and nothing disappointed. I'd highly recommend the prawns in garlic and the chorizo which looked incredible when it arrived! Very friendly service and expertise at every step to guide us through the experience. Spanish cuisine at its finest!

The food is amazing, tasteful and well cooked. The only negative thing about this place is that it’s a bit expensive for tapas. Drinks are good and they have a good selection of wine, drinks and sangria! Perfect for a few bits and a glass with friends 🍷

Best Tapas in Malta! It's hard to keep up with quality these days but La vida always nailed it, with consistency and for years.. They now deliver with the current situation. Where to start? Top quality food, great atmosphere, fantastic hosts (they really know their food), great staff, great wine. Try the grilled pulpo, the ceviche and their delicious tuna tostaditas (these are my personal favourites but guess what, everything is good so pick anything and enjoy!). With the situation, the menu changed very slightly but it's as good as ever and delivered to your door :) They even offer family options such as roasted chicken or paella.

In these dire times, we all have to keep any eye on our favourite restaurants to make sure they are there when this bloody virus passes and we can go out again, so what better way than to order take out with your favourite wine! We did exactly that and tried the pollo a l'ast, which is roast chicken, done in a special spitroast machine that you see in restaurants in Spain everywhere. It is a staple of their diet and is amazing. And guess what, it was just a succulent and tasty from La Vida and at home. Here's hoping we get to see it when they open in Carob Tree!

The food is just stunning, so homey, yummy and moreish. They also deliver in these times where we can't go out and it's just as good. Have the Halloumi, have the croquetas. Have all of it. They are very knowledgeable about their food and the gins are fabulous. You must go.

I visited La Vida tapas today with my girlfriend. We have tried many tapas places before and this was up there with the best. The food was cooked fresh and extremely tasty, particularly the prawns a la plancha, Mexican burger and arepa. Also the cocktails were lovely and I highly recommend the rum from Belize! Great evening, lovely staff and great fun with the owners who are very passionate about Latin American food, welcoming and generous.

We had the most wonderful evening at LaVida with my Mum and sister. The drinks, food, atmosphere and service were absolutely second to none. The two waiters on service were friendly, helpful and charismatically charming. The service was spot on, not too slow, not too fast, just perfect. The food looked and tasted absolutely beautiful and you got decent sized portions for the very reasonably priced menu, with lots of choices. The flaming chorizo dish was spectacular and certainly contributed to the enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend this tapas restaurant if you’re visiting Sliema, I would go back again tomorrow!! Thankyou to the brilliant staff, it was amazing and the perfect start to our weekend away.

Seriously the best meal I’ve had in Malta. Nice staff and smooth service. The dishes looked and tasted delisious. It’s a small and friendly space, nothing posh, just good food.

We did something very exceptional on holiday for us after we first visited La Vida on New Years Eve, we went back twice more! The food is great, the menu is really good for non meat eaters whether your veggie or vegan. Of course there is meat on the menu, which looks good and well presented, as is the seafood. It was however mainly the vegetable cooking we were eating, and loving!! Especially the garlic mushrooms and the tacos! Everything we tried was really tasty and cooked fresh to order, served as in a traditional tapas bar, as and when it’s ready, not necessarily all together so sharing dishes between you is the way to go! If you have dietary needs the staff are knowledgeable and the menu is clearly labelled so you can see and ask staff what can be adapted vegan/gluten free etc. The drinks menu is mainly Spanish with wines, bears and spirits. I can definitely recommend the gins! The owners are lovely, friendly and passionate about bringing Spain to Malta (in a very friendly way!!) and as a result the bar is a mix of locals, ex pats and tourists a like. It’s a small but friendly bar with a great atmosphere, well worth a visit for food, drinks or both!

We had dinner just before Christmas as a group before everyone went their separate ways. While we normally go for dinner there in small groups, the quality and attention did not suffer. What else can I say but amazing food and service as always from the team in La Vida, we will definitely be back in the New Year! Everyone was amazed at one of the sauces, and it turns out they are all made fresh in house and they were even offered some to take away, they couldn’t get enough of it! I am a picky vegetarian and there is also lots of options for me. I keep going back because of how good the food tastes!

Our expectations were high when we arrived. But, some of the food, about 4 dishes were finished and also the wine I ordered. And the toilet was broken. I can not recommend this restaurant.

This place keeps on giving! The owner will make sure all your needs are met, chef makes all the food so delicious, and later it is delivered to your table with a smile. We will definitely be returning here again, after a night where we all had fun and ate delicious food.
