Manakis stands out for 3 main reasons, the place itself next to the sea in Spinola Bay, the service and the excellent food. Prices are not low but you get quality for what you pay. I tried their Moussaka and it was just divine. Would have preferred to be served something with the complimentary fresh bread presented. Will return for sure.

This is a moderate sized restaurant in a row of restaurants alongside Spinola bay. We started with a choice of several small dishes followed by a red snapper with steamed vegetables and chips which we shared. The fish was baked in a foil (=steamed) and was rather tasteless. One of us is not impressed by steamed vegetables which were left. The ouzo and wine were enjoyable. Service was good. We ate outside, ambience good also although the inside of the restaurant was busy and slightly congested. The menu was very attractive and we will go again.

I’ve eaten a lot of Greek food but this was definitely the best! Beautiful presentation and so tasty. We visited on a very busy Sunday evening and the staff (owners?) worked so hard to keep all the balls in the air and everyone happy. They deserve to do well. I only wish we’d discovered this great place earlier in our stay. It’s situated in a fab spot right in the water. Heaters outside is a bonus in cooler evenings. A must visit!

Couldn't fault it ! Staff went out of their way to find us a table on the busiest night of the year. Food was out of this world.

Delicious dinner, great service and beautiful views. We had the Greek salad, fried feta cheese, and taziki with pita. All so fresh and high quality. We finished off with espresso martinis while overlooking the water!

Very friendly place,sun shining and overlooking the bay. Good choice on menu and very tasty food. Nice atmosphere would say worth a visit if you like Greek cuisine

We tried the Meze taster menu on our last night in Malta. Unlike many mezes I've tried in Europe, especially the UK, it was the quality rather than the quantity of food that attracted my attention. This made it the meze I have enjoyed the most. The red wine we chose (Fenici) was a Maltese wine revelation and will be sought out on future visits to the island.

Lovely food and drinks by the water - we just needed somewhere to relax for a snack and some drinks and this was the perfect place. We ordered a selection of starters and cocktails / beers. Friendly staff.

We love Greek Tavernas and the staff were polite but be aware when you are asked if you water it will cost you £3.95 euros for the bottle. The souvlaki i ordered was £18.95 euros and only just cooked . we did not return.

After having experienced Maltese, Italian food, we opted for some Greek food, we were asked if we had booked, although there were a number of tables empty, we were seated at a table with what I would say was a “ pained look on the waiters face’ we ordered a number of cold traditional Greek cold starters which I imagined would have been prepared that afternoon to present on a plate that evening, Humous and tzatzicki should take a couple of minutes to dish up and serve, we received these starters probably 20/25 minutes after ordering, I ordered fish as a main course and asked if it could be fillited ( boneless) the waiter said no problem at all, I received my fish which looked like a pile of rubbish put on a plate, both myself and my wife looked at each other, I should have received 2 pieces of boneless fish. Neither my wife’s meal or my sons meal were overly nice. Generally Greek restaurants have a bubbly atmosphere with music in the background, this was neither.

There are a few restaurants in the area and this became quickly one of our favorite (in comparison to the others) Food is nice, well served The chicken souvlaki does not disappoint and come with salad and yummy fries Prices are okish - in line with the areas Nice views on the small bay Service is efficient

Had dinner here. My wife had the Moussaka which was fine and I had the shoulder of lamb (which although very nice I thought overpriced). Nice staff, nice meal, but just a little over priced which probably reflects the nice location. It gets very busy. If you want to make a reservation then you need to do this 24h in advance. We very much enjoyed our meal here.

This is a special place as we sat on a balcony overlooking St Julian's Bay. Second impression with the service was not as good as it was very slow and the waiter seemed to have tunnel vision in that he couldn't see our table for our order. After going up to him and reminding him that we existed, to be fair, the service was then very good. The restaurant was very busy on a Sunday night so would recommend booking a table. We had the Mezze and both the starters and main courses were both very good. Exceptional dips, flaming feta, great sausages and meatballs, some of the tastes still linger in the mouth.... ok maybe just the memory. Well worth a visit.

The customer service by all of the staff is outstanding. Veronica and Tijana very kind ladies always ask us is everything ok. Presentation of food by mr Lompros is fabulous, with a lot of pride and charisma he always explains to us which food we will taste. Food fresh, tasty and delicious one of two reasons why we always come back in this restaurant. Last but not least mr Marco by now we know him two years, always with a welcoming smile on his face, smart professional, even if he is busy he always find time to chat with us. Thank you from the bottom of ours hearts because you make us feel always special. Atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Just chairs outside should be more comfortable.
