Kedves személyzet. Gyönyörű étterem. Csak ajánlani tudom. Jó borok, sörök. Finom magyar ételek. Mindenkinek ajánlom.

Tökéletes kiszolgálás, kedves személyzet fogadott minket.
A választásnál bajban is voltunk mert jobbnál jobb ételek voltak a lapon.😄
Többféle ételt rendeltünk, kiváncsiak is voltunk a végeredményre.
Méltán állíthatom h az ízek vetekednek a Mama föztjével!!
Összességében kritikán felüli!
****** azaz 6*😉

Az étterem csodálatos, az ételek és a kiszolgálás fantasztikus, ha visszatérünk itt biztos újra megfordulunk és másoknak is ajánljuk. Köszönünk minden jót, felüdülés volt nálatok lenni.

Ok Hungarian style dishes... could do with more flavour and spice

We dined here twice this week and the meals were excellent both times and I would highly recommend. We did have beef Hungarian goulash starter (really good), also chicken and steak. Service was excellent. Will definitely return next time we are in Malta

We dined here twice because on the first occasion we had the Hungarian platter and enjoyed it so much we went back for the same again. Portions were very generous and of good quality. Staff were helpful and the Hungarian wine excellent and reasonably priced.

We were not sure what we wanted and after reading multiple menus we decided on Margaret Island because of the traditional Hungarian dishes. We had the pumpkin soup, chicken Paprikash with buttered dumplings and the pasta duck ragout dish followed by the apple strudel. We chose a bottle of Hungarian Cab Franc and finished with a shot of palinka. All the food was delicious and fresh.
It was a Sunday evening so it wasn’t too busy. The service was professional, friendly and efficient. Overall a great meal and pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend. The restaurant also serves meals other than traditional Hungarian.

It is a nice place to eat. The menu has options not only hungarian. Quick service. The goulash soup is tasty ( a bit spicy). Nice schnitzel, well cooked.

I not only enjoyed the Hungarian tastes, but the real cooked, well prepared food and the friendly staff. I recommend it to anybody, who likes delicious food!

This is a restaurant that makes no bones about what they are. They offer Hungarian food with Hungarian wine served by Hungarian waiters. If you like Hungarian food you will like this place. If you don't like Hungarian food, why are you reading this review?
If you aren't sure about Hungarian food this restaurant offers a perfect introduction.

The staff is very friendly. Quality and price level is quite good also. The dishes are presented very well with good quantities and good food quality. All diners could start eating at the same time, and this is rare in many tourist places . The atmosphere was relaxing and friendly.

Nice meal with friends, not a lot of atmosphere but that could be time of year. Friendly staff & good service.

This was a wonderfully surprising experience with delicious food. The meat is of highest quality served in delicious wine sauces. Their pasta is also very nice. The waiters will recommend you the perfect wine to accompany your dish - they have a very good selection. Best restaurant in Sliema so far!

I am not sure the restaurant deserves the description 'sensational' which someone else has reveiwed it as, but the meal I had there was good. I chose the beef goulash soup as I figured in a Hungarian restaurant they should get this right. And I was not disappointed, It was on the starters menu but was a large portion with plenty of bread. It was very tasty and the service was good. We ate inside the restaurant rather than out the front on the pavement so we could hear our conversation and avoid the smokers!

Symphony of flavours mixed with high standard service in fabulous location.
All Malta talks about this restaurant and as restaurateur my self, couldn't miss it.
Feri was elegant, knowledgeable and received real hospitality experience.
Will be back one more time before leaving Malta as I can't get enough of this restaurant. Thank you Margaret Island and see you soon!!!

Great food. Great restaurant. Great wine list. Great service.
Was a little reticent about going to a Hungarian restaurant whilst in Malta. But it exceeded expectations
We shared the Hungarian main course platter which gives a good range of food, 4 (or was it 5) different meats. Mash. Wedges. Rice.
Every dish was lovely and all very different.
Mash was sublime.
The wine list is all Hungarian with about 30 different wines to try and all available by the glass - at a similar pro-rata price to a bottle.
Smart modern restaurant, lovely staff. Hats off the the Hungarian’s.

So when in Rome, why not have a Hungarian ?
The service and food beautiful. Especially like the sausage starter stew dish (can't remember the name). My partner stated it was the best starter he had ever had. So deliciously tasty and a must if you dine here. The lamb shank was so tender and slightly pink, and melted in the mouth.
Apologise for spilling my wine (first time ever)!! Thank you for not only your understanding, but for the beautiful food also.

My partner and I visited for a night time meal on our holiday as a recommendation from a friend back home in the UK.
The food was one of the tastiest meals we had on our visit and portion sizes were huge. We had the Hungarian platter and a starter each but it was far too much for us to get through.
The staff were friendly and offered us a traditional Hungarian shot to finish our meal. Beer is a little more expensive than surrounding bars but the atmosphere and quality of food makes this understandable. Would recommend.

Excellent restaurant with good service, wine, menu choices and delicious food, all moderately priced. We visited twice during our stay. The best meals we had during our two week stay.

We had a lovely lunch in Margaret Island. The food was amazing: we tried the Hungarian mixed plate with cold cut:we loved the cheese spread, the sausages and the liver pate. We also had Hungarian draught beer and we could not resist to the "red wine beef stew with cottage cheese pasta"! It was a really good choice. Tender, juicy,a bit spicy and a huge portion. Just like my mom would place it on my plate!
We loved the atmosphere:the Hungarian music, the modern interior, the little leaflet with the most useful phrases, poems and lyrics decorating the walls and all with authentic food.
It was our first but not last visit! Thank you Margaret Island! :)

Great food and ambience right overlooking Manoel Island and Valletta Bastions. Whatever you take you cannot go wrong. Very good the goulash and the schnitzel either on a plate or served into a burger. Definitely worth the stop for food.

In the Danube River, between Buda and Pest, verdant Margaret Island is a tranquil getaway within the city. Pedestrian promenades navigate around parkland, an art nouveau water tower, the ruins of a 13th-century Dominican convent, a musical fountain and a small zoo. Other attractions include jogging tracks, thermal spas and swimming pools. Summertime brings pop-up bars and restaurants, as well as live music.
