This somewhat hidden and very unassuming café is a little gem! Short menu which is always a good sign because it means everything is made fresh. And so it is! Lovely food and must try the ice coffee with cream!

Lovely place such a pity the weather was so cold and in May, if your cafe is set up for alfresco you need the weather on your side especial in the evenings - by the by, we had the shared veggie platter and it was ace - we suggested that it would be handy to have a map to guide us round the plate of goodies - we will be back when it gets warmer.

Great little restaurant in Valletta! The Maltese Platter for 2 seems to be their specialty and for good reason. It was delicious! We ordered an assortment of food and none of it disappointed. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend this place if you're in Malta!

Excellent, local recipes. Had the Maltese platter for two and was such a perfect start to the day. Proprietor is friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share his creations. Would love to come back if there wasn’t so much more to explore!
[Edit 25-Feb] OK, we had to come back for one last stop. This time had the Maltese ftira, and after trying others around the island, this was the best one. Again, great spot for a casual light bite.

Excellent, fresh, local, delicious! So kind, courteous, generous, thoughtful, helpful with traveler tips like where to take the ferry boat to nearby locations off the peninsula which can be much faster than taking the bus around to get places. Also which attractions to see based on what we already saw. Brilliant!

Cafe Mina’s is a cozy restaurant just off the busy shopping street (Republic) and around the corner from the Triton Fountain. Inside are a few places at the bar, but the bulk of the seating is outside in front and at the side under a covering. The menu isn’t extensive, but each item I tried was delicious. I’d recommend the rabbit! The prices are also very reasonable. To top off the whole experience, the owner is extremely friendly. I already have been and will continue to be a repeat customer.

Great food and service at a good price. We ate there many times during our week-long visit to Malta and were not disappointed.

My wife and I were strolling through Valletta on a busy Tuesday morning when we noticed a sign outside this café advertising breakfast, so we popped in to sample what was on offer. We were both glad we did. Breakfast was superb, with fresh good quality ingredients, served with a smile, piping hot and best of all it tasted delicious. We left feeling full and satisfied, and the price was extremely reasonable. We’ll certainly call in again whenever we visit Valletta.

We grabbed lunch in here one and it was good. Didn’t actually have a sandwich but ftidas which was a toasted sandwich. They were very good. Small place near the main gate.

Tucked behind the Main Street in Valletta, we found this restaurant serving some local Maltese food. The food (we had rabbit and chicken) was super delicious and quick to come out. Then our waitress (who turned out to be one of the owners) took time to explain some other local dishes to try and let us sample an alcohol drink her mom makes from prickly pear (they call them figs, the fruit off cactus). It was a sweet, full bodied delicious liquor. Excellent end to our first day in Malta.

The food was really Good! Really nice and friendly service. She made an extra vegetarian main course for me and it was soooo good!

Don't know which was better, the smile that greeted us or the lovely, tart, freshly made lemonade. Both were refreshing and sweet! Am sure the other local fare they offer is just as good, when made with such obvious love.

Stumbled upon this little gem just off the main road in Valletta. We were a group of vegetarians and the waitress was very accommodating and even suggested some maltese vegetarian food not on the menu.
Can also confirm it’s the best aperol spritz in Malta as the waitress claimed!

Clean and freshly prepared food from quality ingredients. Service was amazing! What we had and highly recommend is the quinoa salad, chicken with vegetables and cous cous, a bean soup with truffel served with crackers with a bean paste on top of it. The bean paste is super tasty! Our dessert was typical maltese one: vanilla ice cream with dough filled with fig paste and all together indeed fits perfectly.

We decided to go for dinner based on the good reviews and it was close to where we were staying. Sat outside - the terrace was dirty, the plants half dead - should have left then. We had the Maltese platter - it was very average, we found everything very salty for our taste but it was quite generous and nicely presented. The dips/spreads and bread were good. The cheesecake for dessert was completely frozen - looked like it came out of a box, was tasteless and difficult to cut.

We took the maltese platter and it was very good! A great variety of delicious maltese food served on a beautiful plating! Thank you!

Just popped in for a coffee and excellent pecan tart. However, why not try their bragioli? I couldn’t help noticing a very large portion on the table next to me and they’re just about €12. I plan to return.

Came here after looking on TripAdvisor for something nearby. Can totally agree with all the good reviews. Super friendly staff. Nice outdoor area. Maltese platter super yummy and was very happy with the gerkins as an avid fan of them. Big enough for 2. Aperol spritz yummy and cheap. Payed 25 for two drinks, Maltese platter and two coffees. Well worth a visit if you're around Valletta!
