The stand out from the entire experience by far was the superb service given to us, everything was laid out and explained and you can tell every single staff member has a passion for the culture and food.
Food was nothing short of amazing, overall an amazing experience.
Would definitely recommend to anyone regardless of your opinion on Japanese food and culture, you definitely won't go just once.

Came across this little gem accidentally...hosts were superb, funny and attentive. Food was ordered as little plates as and when we wanted them. Stayed all night ☺👌

It's small, but a great place for foodies. Great selection of sake and alcohol, and the food itself was simple but with great depth of flavour. We had the gyoza, the sushi platter, the pork cutlet on rice and Japanese curry, and everything was excellent. The staff was also very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, but it is advised to book in advance.

Stopped for a quick lunch at N Japanese Bistro. Valletta offers very little Japanese food. This restaurant is owned by a Japanese and thus offers the possibility to taste some authentic Japanese plates. The menu for each plate is hung against the wall written in both Japanese and English. The place is small but we managed to get a table. We started with a pork belly that was cooked in broth followed by a large plate of mixed Sushi to share. I was a bit disappointed with the pork belly but not with the Sushi, which was very good. The place offers Japanese beer.

We ordered a few starter dishes to share and mains after. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The pace was slow so you had time to enjoy the meal and the very extensive range of saki on offer.

One of the better Japanese restaurants I've ever been to. Great ambience. The location could not have been better. One of a collective of venues in a pedestrian strip called The GUT.. There was a live band playing on a balcony which stretched over the laneway. Really enjoyed the evening.

it was a nice experience, the food was different than a usual Japanese restaurant, the Croatian waitress is very very good, the place is very intimate, promoted with flying colors!

We stopped by this place for a glass of Sake for a nightcap. Service was great and the staff was super friendly. We got to meet the Japanese owner/chef and she entertained us with fun conversation. We didn’t get to try their food, but the menu looked very intriguing. Great Sake selection and we were introduced Yuzu Pepper Gin! Yummy stuff!!

Discovered this place while exploring Valletta and I’m so glad we stopped here. It was up there in best Asian meals I have ever eaten. We had a sushi platter, the marinated avocado and gyoza. All excellent, full of flavor and fresh. We finished with a matcha desert which was amazing. They have a wide selection of Sake to choose from too. The only slight negative is that the staff weren’t overly friendly, but the food made up for it.

Great food and very interesting selection of sakes. Friendly and knowledgeable waiter. Limited sushi selection - isakaya style food.

This is a little gem of a place, amazing food and very authentic, a real joy to find such a place in Valletta, hands down the best food on The Gut

We went here on a recommendation of a local. Definitely didn't go wrong here. We only went for lunch and had some of the best gyoza I have had since living in Okinawa. We then had some pork belly - absolute delicious. Followed by a sushi platter with obviously fresh fish. It was a quick lunch for us with reasonable prices. But I heard the dinner is even better. Keep an eye out for it, because you could easily walk by without even noticing it.

My wife and I visited this place. I'm not a Sushi lover so I had a selection of small plates, which all had an amazing taste, from the salads to the pork. My wife had sushi and she said it was really fresh and tasted heavenly.
