Okurama Asian Fusion

We enjoy going to this one located in San Gwann as it is out from the madness in Paceville. Although some of the items are different from the other two restaurants, the choice is very good and tasty. Food is fresh and arrives (after a bit of wait since it’s freshly done) in good time enough. The wait can get quite lengthy when busy which might not suit you if you are in a hurry. The staff who attended us were lovely and very attentive. However my only complaint is the timing of the sushi. When ordering a round (especially if it’s big table but not necessarily) they tend to bring most of it then what’s left arrives later. Sometimes they forget or purposely don’t give you all you ordered (buffet) which can be annoying keeping track of what you ordered. Also most of the time the sashimi arrives on its own which is also annoying as eating a whole portion of raw fish on its own without having other items to mix with it (as you would have eaten the first round of food) is not a nice experience for some people. Otherwise apart from the timing (and it happens in all of the branches) the food is great, fresh and tasty. The buffet is definitely a must even if you no big eater. It gets you to try new items and explore other flavours. This is highly recommended. Drinks bar is varied. The place is very central and parking not so bad. Avoid a time during mass next door as it get busy on the weekend otherwise it’s really not a big deal. Highly recommended overall. Service needs a little Individual attention and focus.

I really enjoy going to Okurama, the one located at San Gwann is typically quieter and for me that's a positive. We usually end up getting the buffet, but that can be a bit too filling (although you are able to order what you wish for a fixed price). One of my favourite menu items is the duck soup, and you can never go wrong with sushi and seaweed either.

We were a little reluctant at first from the online negative reviews and some friends too. however we decided to give it a shot anyway and we were not let down. On the contrary, the food is amazing, service and stuff constantly going round and definitely withing the budget. Keep it up, maybe some people expected more but we feel this has the right balance.

The food was good, as expected from this chain, however the waitress waiting on is was acting odd. She asked what we were going to drink before even sitting down. In all she inquired about our drink order 6 times, with myself eventually telling her that we will call her to our table when we had made up our mind. She did the same for our food order, even though she could clearly see we were still discussing what to get from the buffet menu. Service was rather slow on the night and a couple tables had a dush arrive so late that they were done with the rest and had to take it in a take away box.

The food was really very good and delicious. But i think that the staff can be better. I order for drink came the food but nothing to drink ..i wanted the bills but the same waiters forget for bills. I come sure again because food was good but service wasn't so good

its an experience and a gastro systems which does not meet everybodies idea. You have to fill forms as your order to order. But the waiters explains to you a couple of exceptions to follow. It makes it difficult and is itself a contradiction to the restaurant slogan. Quality and portion in balance to the price level are ok and resonable. Be prepared to follow their rules and condition. Reservation are needed. The restaurant is always busy.

It was a family outing for the love of sushi. Had one that dislike the sushi but made it with a ribeye cooked to perfection. The Japanese food was good but can't say the same for the service. It happened once again that some of the orders are left out and had to ask twice. Good for the food but can't say the same for the service.

Luved the ambiance .. food was exceptional .... actually service was fantastic ... the kitchen was slow ... we all had buffett .. Super value for money ... plus we went on a saturday after mass .. we had no booking and still were given a table of 6 .... we ll surely visit again ..

Authentic asian cuisine on a la carte and all you can eat options - very good food and excellent service by the staff including useful ordering recommendations etc
