Cozy interior (and beautiful small garden in front of it), nice staff (after a misunderstanding with cake they gave us a caneloni for free as a favor) and tasty food for good price. Can recommend!

We went here on a Saturday evening with a group of friends.
Felt like an authentic Sicilian experience.
Ordered 2 platters, some sides and dessert. Everything was delightful
Service was very good and attentive. Atmosphere was nice
Nice place for a group of friends or your partner
Would recommend and look forward to come again.

We were there one evening in March to find a very limited menu - only three or four main course dishes.
The bruschetta starter was very simple, tomatoes on toast but very tasty.
Main courses were a pesto dish and a meat ragu pasta. Both ere delicious.
Don’t go here expecting an extensive menu.
Food was very good accompanied by mini bottles of prosecco and a decent house red.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

One of the highlights of our trip. The staff, the food, the location... everything was amazing. Would strongly recommend a visit to this fantastic Sicilian restaurant. Perfect.

We had two enjoyable lunches here - genuine Sicilian restaurant with genuine Sicilian staff. The menu should have something for everyone - give it a try.
Grazie mille!

Family run with pleasant greeting and eclectic decor and money not wasted on fitting out showing sound business sense.
Small menu of nice things. Meats and cheeses alone or mixed as platters or in a big sharing meal with starters all on same plate. Crisp, arancini, good bread and wines by the glass. There were two pasta specials when we went and we had one each and both enjoyed them.Good sized portions.City center artisan prices not chain budget reflecting their position.I can't imagine how anyone gets to a regular sized canoli but we had a mini one each and they were delicious.
We so enjoyed our evening meal we went back for lunch on our last day

The food was lovely and the atmosphere/surroundings a delight. Would recommend. Small and tucked away but glad we found it.

Very nice premises with two main rooms, stone walls and interesting features. Friendly staff. Extensive menu. The special platter is very special with a wide range of delicious Sicilian treats. The two specials were also popular. Mine being fillet steak with mushy peas and mashed potato. Good wines and other drinks. The cannoli looked delicious but we had no room. Reasonably priced.

We ordered a mixed platter with chips/panzarotti/rice balls and a baguette with Sicilian pecorino, salmon, aubergines and zucchini. The food was delicious and we felt like in Siracusa (Sicily).
The place is a little bit small with a stroller, but we had all assistance we needed from the staff for our child. Proset!

You need to book, even in the off season for this deservedly popular place. There are a few tables outside in good weather and a little space near the bar and then further room near the back which is architecturally the more interesting with its odd corners, recesses, vaulted stone roof, thick walls, dust covered nick nacks and the most bizarre feature - two wooden swings. Whoever thought these were a good idea are presumably cursed inwardly every day by the staff who have to negotiate them when serving the adjacent tables, and by the punters who have to evade their heavy swinging seats as others go by. The food is lovely, excellent rabbit, and most people seem to go for the generous platters of meats and cheeses. The piece de resistance though is the cannoli. Four of the mini ones are excellent value; have the large ones if you’ve got room.

We were here for some food platters and wine. Service was very good and food too. We choose a Aglianico del Beneventano...great well priced wine, but needs to breath!! We enjoyed our event very much.

Went with a booking for one Saturday lunch in October. Menu is not the typical never ending one. Has a few plates of pasta, and platters. We were a table of 3 so one of us had pasta which was good and 2 of us shared the platter which was more than enough. Lovely place in Valletta

Ortigia is situated in a quaint pedestrianized street in Valletta. The staff was very welcoming and polite. We had a Sicilian platter to share and a nice bottle of wine on our visit. Over all a pleasant night out.

If your in Malta, you have to go here!
If you love Seafood, you have to go here!
If you love, the most breathtaking wines combined with a service level that lets you believe you have a secret Maltese Grandma who has invited you round to dinner, you have to go here.
It’s like a slice of Sicily in Valetta, tucked down a picture postcard narrow cobblestone street this is an absolute gem.
Perfect for business or romance and they don’t normally mix, give this place a go.

Found this restaurant just by passing and saw this platter and said wow! So went back the next night . We had to wait a little while as we wanted to sit outside. It was busy which was fine as we hadn’t booked. They gave us a complimentary drink. Then we order the platter and a bottle of wine , which were all amazing. Coffee and deserts to follow. Also excellent. The owners were super friendly and very helpful. Would say you were the best meal we had in Malta. Thank you so much.

All the folks that gave this restaurant a 5 were right! We snuck in under the 3:30 kitchen shutdown and enjoyed some starters. Great service from friendly staff, good wine selection and terrific ambiance. I hope we get an opportunity to return for a full lunch or dinner .

We went there twice during our stay and we loved it very much. We recommend both for lunch and dinner. The stuff is friendly and kind, and food exceptional. Desserts, cannollo with ricotta, absolutely delicious!!!

We had both lunch and supper here and were very please both times.
Bit tucked away, but well worth finding.
Don't order too many dishes as the portions a very large !!
Has about six tables outside on a quite path, so very nice when its hot.

The food and service makes you think that you are in Sicily (except that they speak better English here). The menu is simple, but the food is good. My only negative comment is, that I didn't like the Sicilian red wine.

We really enjoyed our light lunch. My wife and friends had delicious sandwiches and I had fresh pasta seafood ravioli. The best I’ve had outside Italy. Local beer.
Not cheap but good value. I’d like to return for dinner next time we’re in Malta
Thoroughly recommended.
