What a charming little gem. It feels like private dining. Food is creative and delicately prepared, with fair prices for an excellent experience

We all had a very enjoyable , well thought out and cooked meal , the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to visit… The food, wine and service was great and the experience was fabulous. I can highly recommend this restaurant… The food is amazing, we had Tuna , so fresh ! Wine selection is awesome , and service is fantastic! I really loved it… This chef is a rising star and could easily find his place in every top ranked restaurant in the world… I’m vegetarian and my wife is lactose and gluten free. The restaurant made sure to adapt some of their dishes to accommodate our restrictions with no hassle…

We have spend 4 evenings in Valletta and had great dinner every night, but Patakka served the most interesting dishes in highest quality. The recommended pigeon was very soft and tender, the risotto made of riso acquerello had a unique taste and wonderful texture. There are a few small dining rooms giving a cozy private athmosphere. Service was great. A rather new place in town, fine cuisine, highly recommended when you look for something special.

Good and service were great. It's also easy to find...it's right on one of the main streets in Valletta. Try the seafood. Very recommended!

Walking through the streets of Valetta we saw this small restaurant and stopped to review the menu. We decided to give it a try and it was really worth it.

We were very unsure about visiting this place. It's part of a small hotel. We went inside and met Sean who owns and runs the place. We also met his wife who is the chef. We visited twice and thought that the food was fabulous. We has different food on different nights and different food from each other. It's a limited menu with specials each day. We believe this is good for a small restaurant and the experience we had supported this view.
The food, wine and service was great and the experience was fabulous. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Enjoyed a decent meal at this restaurant while staying at the hotel that this restaurant is a part of and I loved everything from the food to the ambiance and you can read more about it on my Instagram page Feast and Travel as well!

Great little restaurant in Valletta. Little obscure and tucked away in a side alley. High end dinning and level of food. Very tasty. Save for special occasions. Its very nice but lacks a little atmosphere when dining. Cant fault the use of good ingredients and very nicely presented dishes.

Each of the 3 courses we had were perfect. Great taste and innovative - but still earthy- creations. This chef is a rising star and could easily find his place in every top ranked restaurant in the world. We had seafood and found the quality and the preparation of the products as excellent. What a surprise to find this quality here after having dined at many of the very top restaurants of the world ( Yountville, San sebastian ,.. etc). We really wish him success, and we will be back! This is the restaurant of our hotel, the Palais le Brun, but anyone can eat there. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. My only comment, when we all should be thinking of eating more sustainably, would be for them to have more vegetarian options. Otherwise well done everyone.

We went to this restaurant a few times for dinner during our recent stay in Valletta. The restaurant is apart of the Palais Le Brun hotel.
I’m vegetarian and my wife is lactose and gluten free. The restaurant made sure to ask when we made the reservations and adapted some of their dishes to accommodate our restrictions with no hassle. In fact when we went the second time they offered me a dish that was a chef’s creation to provide variety and made my wife a fruit plate for dessert.
The food is well-prepared and tasty. My wife loved the duck main course and the new braised octopus starter.

We had a dinner in Patakka. The portions were beautifully presented but very small. The duck brests consisted of two smalk strips, a third of an average duck brest. My halibut was a dissapointment, we did not believe that it was halibut at all, more like cod - not a bad one but cod. By the way wild halibut is an oxymoron, because this fish can be only wild! This place is convenient for the gests of the Palais le Brun hotel, that's all.

Just off the main streets of Valletta we found this gem. High end , complex and great dishes in a hip place that once was a house. We tried the pigeon and pasta for starters and they were both very good. For mains we took the halibut and we got a great fish with twists and turns and great flavors. Don’t miss the Velarona Ice cream, it’s a must. Decent wine cellar and reasonable pricing and we are for sure going to return to Patakka.

The Pataka is a relatively new restaurant located in an ancient building which was renovated about 9 months ago.
The meal was perfectly made up and very tasty. The service 2was very efficient and friendly.
Prices are relatively high for a restaurant in Malta, but I would recommend it for a nice evening with your companion..
