This restaurant offers a variety of Mediterranean dishes. I had chosen pulled pork. Portions are generous, food is very good and service is good. It is a popular restaurant therefore it is suggested that you book beforehand.

Just a short walk from our Hotel is this Gem of a Restaurant. An excellent Menu with Gozoan and Mediteranien specials. My wife and I ate two superbly prepared tasty meals topped of with some classy local wine. Absolutely Top

Ta Philips is a restaurant where you book a table for anytime of the evening and have a table all evening with no rush. There is a vast list of wines from all over the world including local Gozitan wines. I love the staff here as you can stop and talk to them rather than them being in a Conti our rush. There is a menu and a specials board for starters mains and desserts. I prefer fish and vegetarian and here there are many choices at reasonable prices. We have had lunches here couples dinners family parties and sometimes just a glass of wine.

We went there 2 days in a row because the food was so good.
My friend is a celiac and they even have selfmade gf bread rolls. If they are unsure they double check with the kitchen.
As starter they have warm bread and different dips, olive oil and there is always some warm garlic bread coming with the starter.
We had a tender goat and quail the first evening and a Bottle very good Gozo wine. They have a really Big wine selection and we were delighted to find Gozo and Malta wines there as well.
It wasnt too cheap but the prices are more than fair to what you get.
Portions are very big and you always have the option to take leftovers back home.
2nd evening we had the Risotto, mushrooms in creamy sauce, pasta with rabbit and braised rabbit. We were really full and couldnt even try any dessert.
Philip even recognised us the 2nd evening which made us feel very welcome and invited us for a liqueur on the House.
But make sure you have a reservation!!!

Another great meal at this atmospheric, reliable restaurant - local goat and suckling pig to die for. Philip (the owner) kindly gave us a bottle of wine on the house (as well as singing Happy Birthday in a mellifluously light voice). Impeccable service was provided by a delightful Ghanaian, who no doubt (after her studies) will return to her country to become the first elected female president ! A beautiful ending to a perfect Gozitan day.

during our vacation on gozo we went out to dinner almost every night and this was the best we had. despite not placing a reservation we got lucky and got a table for 2. the service was great. they explained in detail what the current specials are and the owner helped us pick a great regional wine which we had no experience with.
the food was fantastic. for starters we had caprese salad (with tasty buffalo mozzarella) and smoked salmon and swordfish. before we got our starters we were served bread and house made dips. even the tomato paste was made in house. the ammount would qualify as a starter on itself.
so after already eating 2 great courses the main course arrived. we ate pulled pork (made in a wood oven) and veil ossobuco. the serving size was more than enough and the taste outstanding. sadly we were to full to even take a look at the desert menu. The restaurants agenda is to get every ingredient as local as possible and this passion shows in the food served. great experience and well worth a trip.

We were very lazy and ate out every night during our holiday in Gozo and Malta. Ta Philip served the best meal we had during our stay and the fact that there were so many locals in there tells its own story. The entrance is diminutive and you think you're going to walk into a tiny café, but the restaurant is huge and very classy. The food was superb and the welcome was warm. We'll definitely be returning when next in Gozo.

Ta' Philip is our go to restaurant for a fine dining experience in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Host Philip together with excellent staff will take care that you experience a culinary treat of the finest.
And they stock our favourite wines from Ta' Mena Estate :)

Ta Philip
We booked this restaurant which was recommended to us by a friend. We were not disappointed. It was also just 50 metres up from The Grand Hotel which was good on a rainy evening. The only rainy evening of our trip.
The owner welcomed us and worked diligently all evening. We had been recommended to have the suckling pig, which unfortunately was not available that evening, so I had the kid and my husband had the pulled pork
Philip (the owner) also gave us another wine to taste as we had identified the grape we liked (Vermentino). Local wine was very reasonably priced.
No need to order starters as most restaurants gave you olives and hummus or bruschetta to keep you going.
Would recommend this place

Beautifully decorated restaurant, from the outside looks tiny but opens up like Pandoras box and seems to go on forever, delicious food, great service, good prices - a true example of superb food sourced locally serving some of the best wines from the Ta Mena estate, a really exceptional eating experience - not to be missed.

Food was OK, but restaurant was too busy for a Saturday evening and the service was not as desired. I am sure that it would have been better if it was during the week days. Will try it again during the week.

This is the best restaurant we have visited so far in our Malta/Gozo vacation. We had the starter Antipasto for 2, and carried on with one of "todays" specialty - Lasagne. Both tasted absolutely delicious and the portions were large. The service was attentive, quick, and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant.

The title says it all. Ribs so tender that the meat falls off the bone. Steak cooked to perfection. Amazing pasta and stuffed calamari. Large portions at a decent price. Plenty of side dishes for a large family group. Wheelchair accessible and very prompt service. Highly recommended!

A total surprise a restaurant that we knew nothing about turned out to be a fantastic experience. The owner Philip was our server and his passion for local food goes unmeasured. The place is beautiful and comfortable. Philip has a classic wood oven that made the baby goat and suckling pig we ordered delicious. Highly recommend the ravul as well. Probably the best restaurant I been to in gozo after visiting the island for 4 straight summers

We attended as a family meal. The staff was very cordial and overall it was a pleasant meal.
I myself ordered an antipasto for two to share with my wife and a rare veal ribeye steak. Antipasto was amazing. A selection of delicatessen including traditional Gozo cheeselets And Maltese sausage. The ribeye steak we a little overdone but on the whole it was very flavorful and most importantly all ingredients tasted super fresh. Well done
