The area is famous for the rabbit. However I found rabbit in this restaurant not as good. It was overcooked. However, first time trying the horse meat it was absolutely delicious. Fish cake is also good. The ambience is very unique.

Their traditional maltese rabbit was cooked to perfection. The place is lovely and very clean and the service was very good. They serve a lovely strawberry sangria which is to die for!

Unconventional local restaurant with delicious food! The artichokes were greatly cooked, the rabbit excellent, the rib eye well prepared. Service staff was really nice.

We had a whole fried rabbit and it was delicious. Also the both waiters that served us were very friendly and educated. I recommend this place.

Have been here a number of times and although the ambience and food improved a lot since the last management change, it is now sadly verging on the expensive side, and therefore losing its value for money factor.

Wow. Before I visited United, I was thinking that you can't get exceptional Maltese food and the best restaurants in Malta are Italian ones. It seems that I was wrong, United smashed it all, starting from decoration and finishing with awesome food. Chefs know what they're doing, ingridients are high quality, service is great. Horse stew was amazing, so much flavour and tender meat, crab-prawn ravioli was full of flavour as well. It's not the cheapest option in Mgarr but definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

Good food, friendly service. The fried rabbit, the fish and salad were all excellent and we all had a great time.

This place is amazing from the moment you walk in until you leave. From the way it's set up to the staff and food. Found it by accident but was definitely the best food of the whole trip. We had brushette to start. Best I ever had. Then duck and I won't lie I don't know what you'd call the meal I had. Was so so tasty. Unbelievable place. If I could give the food more higher rating I would.

Visited the restaurant during lunch time with colleagues ordered different dishes with snails, octopus, in-house made chips and others... For the main dish we choose fish which was recommended by the owner and I can tell that it tasted amazing. Loved the general experience and the service was on point. Big thanks and regards from Latvia to the restaurant owner, definitively looking forward to return!

We arrived there to have lunch a little late for Malta, around 15:30, it's difficult to find a place to have lunch at this time but this one was open. The place has a good location near the Mgarr Parish church. It's very new and it has a mix between traditional and modern decoration, the result is a cosy and elegant place. The menu has authentic maltese food. We had the Portobello mushrooms, they came with cheese and a foam, with some herbs, all flavours were very integrated, and the dish was very good. Then the fish cakes, were very delicious, with a strong fish and seafood flavour, breaded with panko. They came with some caponata. We took the trio to finish, it was a degustation of three local countryside dishes, quail, rabbit and horse. The rabbit and the quail were fried with garlic and rosemary, and the quail had a strip of bacon. The quail was a little bit dry but the rabbit was incredible, a lot of flavour, tasty, juicy, very good. The horse meat came in the traditional malteses stew, the meat was very soft and the stew very tasty. We paid 41,90 for everything including two beers, the quantity was very suitable. A good place to go to try maltese food.

Been there for the first time and was truly served with exquisite food.
All cooked well and to the taste of the locals. Something which foreigners may truly enjoy being such a gastronomic experience.
Served well by staff present and catered in full with the numerous platters and full lunch including local dessert.
Fully recommend.

We were just walking by, and saw the kids in doing their homework. But they also said they offered the Trio: Rabbit, Horse & Quail and a Flat Bread with with Meats on top. It was tooo much food, too good, for a very good price, and just a great atmosphere. We'll be back for the fresh fish later.

The place is aesthetically amazing and welcoming.
We tried the snails for starter and was really good.
I took penne with salmon and prawns and it was super delicious.
My girlfriend took Mafildine with Octopus and it was very good too!
Mouthwatering desserts including chocolate fondante with raspberry ice-cream and the chocolate brownie. Keep up your excellent work! Will visit another time for sure.

This was our first visit to the United Restaurant.
We had booked 2nd seating at around 2.30 pm and we were seated at 3 pm.
No wonder the restaurant had two seating options since the food was really good.
It served organic food and the menu was full of Maltese dishes.
I had rabbit ravioli and horse meat and believe me the horse meat was cooked to perfection and the sauce was not spicy but was as it should be done.
The desert well that's the most exciting part since the dates, kanolli and ice-cream are all done home made inside the kitchen.
Well done to the chef and owner of United Restaurant it was a visit worthwhile and I surely suggest this restaurant be visited if you love Maltese genuine food.
