This was one of the only restaurants open on the last evening before the COVID-19 closure of restaurants, bars etc went into effect. We received a very friendly welcome. The service was attentive. The mushroom soup of the day was excellent. However the mains (fish of the day cooked in white wine sauce and lamb rack on a bed of ratatouille) were average. Definitely home style cooking as opposed to fine dining. For dessert we shared the chocolate dessert and tiramisu. We were underwhelmed. Average at best. We were given complimentary liqueur at the end of our meal which was a nice touch. Would I eat here again? Probably- but perhaps try the more popular dishes on the menu or for drinks and light snacks. We enjoyed the ambience and music choice.

We celebrated our anniversary here and both the service and food could not have been better Not the cheapest restaurant in this area but certainly not the most expensive but with the quality of the food it is great value for money. Would highly recommend

It was a beautiful Sunday evening and we wanted something nice but not overly fancy. We arrived not having been before and it was beautifully lit and inviting. Upon entering we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out and we chose in. There were tables available without reservation which was great. We were then asked about sitting up stairs and we obliged thinking there was another level of tables. We were wrong. It was a line table looking over this classy joint and we felt like rockstars. The service like most in Malta is friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The Filleto and lamb were cooked perfectly and went fantastic with a bottle of Sicilian red. Casual but don’t dress like a bum for an even better experience. Would definitely recommend.

I've eaten here before and loved it. We generally avoid Sunday lunch-time with the huge Maltese family gatherings complete with screaming kids but that was the only time our friends were available to eat with us. The second mistake was not going very early. So, service was pleasant and we were served drinks and free nibbles....and then more drinks; BUT an hour and a quarter before we got our mains is just ridiculous. We were with some of our favourite people so we whiled away the time just fine but I had to leave to meet another friend who had made time and gone out of his way to deliver something, so I had barely ten minutes to gobble half my (excellent) gnocchi. Our friends also had excellent food. Just be warned about what to expect if you arrive for a late Sunday lunch.

My absolute favorite restaurant! The location is super ... the staff are so pleasant and polite but best of all the food is fantastic and no matter how many times we go there it is always delicious!!! I totally recommend this restaurant ... THE BEST!!

We ended up there randomly while looking for a nice restaurant to diner and it did not disappointed! Omg this was the best restaurant my boyfriend and I have ever been, we cannot say how much we loved it from start to end. The service was amazing, the waiter/owner welcomed us, explains the dishes, took time to answer our questions about the wines in Malta, the difference between the fishes and dishes etc... We felt very warm and special even though we were kind of messy from our day of exploring the city ;) The dishes were... fabulous! We took starters, main and desserts. Salmon marinated in beetroot which had an incredible flavor! Never thought of that mix but it was subtle, fresh and amazing! Then we took the shrimps and some homemade pasta. Both were incredible and served with veggies that were tasty and accommodate the shrimps so well! We also took some Maltese red wine that combined perfectly and was a beautiful discovery as well. As a dessert we tried both the fig and orange tart and the chocolate surprise. All of the dessert are homemade and you can really taste it. No words there it was just the perfect finale touch, not too much not too many, the flavors incredible, perfect presentation and always with a great service. We ended up with an espresso and an amaretto and it was the final touch to this perfect meal. We were so blown away by the atmosphere, the service and the food that... we came back two days later to try other dishes! (Fish of the day and Argentinian steak... omg same pleasure and beautiful experience!) We actually don’t have enough words to describe how great it was. Service was fast, really professional with kind of a fancy atmosphere but everyone makes you feel at home and welcomed. The pictures on Tripadvisor really don’t serve the place well because the restaurant is really beautiful with stones and beams, softened lights and cosy feeling. I can’t imagine how great it would be in the summer outside on the little terrace! Well again our best to the staff, chef and owner because it’s a really gem and we only have one regret... not living in Malta to go back there more often!

This is a real find had absolutely great meal. Flavours were spot on and service was so attentive. Setting was lovely so full of character. Prices per course were less than local bars. Our bill was £90 for three courses wine and a cocktail. Would truly recommend

Very polite service and delicious food. We both had fish of the day and it was so well cooked. Absolutely beautiful. Lemon tart and crepe Suzette for our puddings - both homemade and delicious as well. Highly recommend.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a lovely couple we met on our holiday, so we tried it the next night. We went with out booking and were told they were full at the time, but should be able to accommodate us later. We told the waiter we were going for a drink in the bar over the road and he said he would come over and tell us if a table became available. We did not really expect to see him again, some 20 minutes later he came over and found us and told us we had a table. What service! We enjoyed nibbles before I had the most delicious lamb cutlets and my wife had the suckling pig, which she said was one of her best meal ever. We had a beautiful bottle of Malbec and decided to share a dessert. We chose Orange and fig tart, and OMG it was the best ever. The staff were very knowledgeable and attentive. They made us most welcome, and the surroundings were lovely. We had some very good meal on this holiday, but this was by far the best.

I ate the best piggy in my life, the taset was excelent and the texture was fantastic, the meat was soft and the skin was crispy. The staf very friendly and the place is unique.
