Average. Good deal, but really nothing special. I would suggest going to a different place in the neighbourhood to have a taste of Malta. The server is nice though.

Stopped here for lunch and didn't expect much, but it turned out to be the best meal we had while holidaying in Malta! Service was very friendly and attentive, but the highlight was food. I had a set meal: bruschetta, mussels (these were so fresh and tasty!) and grilled fish, which was absolutely outstanding and cost around €15. My boyfriend had veal steak and was raving about it for next few days. Great place, recommended!

Amazing food and very generous portion sizes. Collectively, we ordered two mixed seafood platters, octopus (starter) and seafood linguine (main) for the three of us. In hind sight, one portion of the seafood platter would have been enough for two. The food was extremely fresh and sourced locally, aswel as the local wine. The wine was smooth and had an amazing price tag. I would highly recommend eating here. The waitress was extremely nice and friendly

Had lunch here and was very impressed with the quality of the food. I had a fantastic octopus fried in Garlic & mrs V had a grilled piece of very fresh swordfish (which was one of the three fresh fish available on the day). The portions were very generous and the food was very well cooked. The dishes were served with chips, fried courgettes and a mixed salad. The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful. There were also nice touches like a free plate of brushetta with your drinks too. The restaurant is in a nice location on the main seafront road in Marsaxlokk and all the tables are outside on the pavement under a nice big shade. The prices of food were very reasonable. Highly recommended.

We stopped for lunch and spent most of the afternoon enjoying the delicious sea food plater and a bottle of local white wine. Excellent service and beautiful sunlight setting. Go there.

A small restaurant with fantastic service. I had the stuffed calamari and it was one of the most amazing seafood meals I can remember. It was a perfectly cooked, melt in the mouth delight and the sauce was delicious. We also had whitebait for starters and my wife had fried calamari - both again cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and perfect and we felt like a member of the family. All in all a wonderful last night in Marsaxlokk and for such a reasonable price. I can not recommend highly enough and definitely go for the stuffed calamari!

Lovely food right across the the seacoast. Very good choice on the menu. Presentation left nothing to be desired. All in all a very pleasant experience everytime I visit.

Really good food for good prices specially if u ordered any Fish Dishes, u will get chips and salad and baked potatoes 🥔 and Bruschetta and Fried Zucchini as Side Dish and all of that for 13-15€. In compare with other Restaurants it is really cheap in this area. I totally can recommend the food here.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay. Fantastic food, both pasta and fresh fish. Great friendly service. Had a great view across the harbour.

I’m writing this review as I’m still stuffed full from the dinner! And honestly: it was amazing. The staff was friendly and nice, and the view in front of us was spectacular. This already put us in a very good mood, but when the food arrived? It was incredible! The fish was fresh and tasty, and the wine we got to drink with it was really enjoyable. (The only side notes - although they don’t take anything from the five points we are giving - are that the bolognese pasta my friend got was a little bit bland) I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who asks! 100/100

Marsaxlokk, on a Sunday is very busy with market and the restaurants fill up quickly and as we did not make a reservation we struggled to find a table. We eventually found an inside table in this restaurant and had the fixed price menu which was good value. Local fish with bread and wine was good. The service was relaxed and not a problem for a lazy Sunday lunch

We had a wonderful meal here when we visited Marsaxlokk recently. We were looking for a fresh fish restaurant and quickly realised that there's a lot of choice! We chose well and were not disappointed with Ta' Mattew. The restaurant is well appointed and attractive. The portions of food (mussels and sea bream) were generous and very delicious and we were served well by the waitress. I would highly recommend that you eat here.

The food was just delicious, everything was fresh and the waitress was just amazing. When our young son didn't let us to eat, she took care of him and we were able to finish our meal - it doesn't happen too often. We are grateful we avoided all tourist traps waiting around.

We had dinner at Ta‘ Mattew and really enjoyed it. We had seabass and swordfish, both and the sides were really delicious. The waitress was really friendly and welcoming. Nice spot in Marsaxlokk!

We had a delicious and very generous lunch here today. The food was excellent (we had the swordfish and the salmon) together with vegetables and a salad. Excellent local wine from Gozo helped us pass an hour or so outside the restaurant and just set back slightly from the main drag. Very helpful and friendly waitress. Highly recommended.

Located right on harbour opposite small fishing boats that will have caught the catch of the day. Pasta vongole and sea bream were wonderful- so fresh and cooked to perfection. Excellent service too.

On a visit to Marsaxlokk& came across this restaurant which had set up tables along the harbour front. A nice warm day so perfect to sit & eat lunch & enjoy the views. The special on the day we were there was a starter of mussels with fresh bread & a main of sea bream with fries & salad, all for €12.90. Mussels were delicious as was the sea bream. The server told us the chef was her husband & how he had cooked the bream which was fresh that day. Perfect.
