Wood and coal is around 100m away from my house, so it a place we typically go to during the week for a quick bite.. They have good food and they try to serve quality products.. In our last visit I was only a bit disappointed by the ice cream accompanying the desert.. Too icy.. Otherwise food was very good..

Well done. Excellent food, service and various delicious gluten free options. Keep it up. Looking forward for the next visit.

Excellent place to eat good food and enjoy yourself.. be it for an intimate dinner or a fun dinner with a bunch of friends.
Excellent food (especially meat: very good cuts and very well cooked and presented) and service.
Very warm cost atmosphere.

It's very difficult to eat out when you are gluten intolerant, however, there were no problems here at all. Very helpful and friendly staff. Explained everything that was gluten free which included any of the burgers, a range of pizzas and nearly all of the meat dishes.
I went for a pizza and I'm so glad I did. It was the best gluten free pizza! I even double checked that it was gluten free because it tasted so good!
Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Thank you so much.

As always, a good and reliable restaurant for gluten free food. Had a delicious gluten free and lactose free pizza, the best on the islands. Waiter was very attentive and helpful.

When we arrived there were no customers, all tables were vacant. We asked for a larger more comfortable table but request was declined. Since place was empty, we started on the wrong foot.
Wine was slightly chilled, just as we love it.
Bread was not so fresh but to compensate we were served a foccacia which was great with the beef carpaccio.
Mains were good.
In the bill side dishes were included as extras, not as stated in the menu. A waiter was prompt to deduct the extra cost after I pointed it out.
Overall happy but not thilled to return.

The ambiance is very welcoming and the food and service is great. Unusual location but good since its not too busy to park.

We went to wood n coal two years ago and this time we had a very similar experience; great pizza but super SLOW service. As a person always looking for gluten free options this restaurant is great since the pizza dough is homemade.

We made a reservation for a Tuesday night. It wasn’t necessary as the place was pretty empty. Even when I mentioned our reservation on arrival the waiter seemed surprised and just smirked at his colleagues. There’s a good selection of food on the menu including a page of craft beers. However when we went to order drinks we were told it was Cisk beer and that they didn’t stock any of the craft beers listed. We shared a pizza between 2 and it was amazingly good. The desserts unfortunately were tasteless.

Every piece of meat was so differently tasteful, tender and cooked to perfection, kudos for the presentation as well. Will surely return with family

My customer and I went for lunch today. I need gluten free food and was pleased to hear that all their pizzas are gf! Gluten free pizzas can be hit and miss, but this was the best pizza I have ever eaten, without a doubt. On top of this our waiter provided excellent service.
Will definitely be back 👌🏼

We came here for Sunday lunch and we have nothing but praise for the place. The waitress was very attending and helpful service reasonably fast and pleasant. We shared a bruschetta as a starter and then had a pizza and 2 beef fillets with port and blue cheese sauce plus baked potatoes. The fillet was so good I was truly sorry when eating the last piece 🙂 The dessert was served in a very elegant way, with fresh fruit and tiny flowers.
Definitely a place we will visit again.

Great food, from pizza to Steaks. Nice place with very friendly, polite staff. Highly recommended. Will go again for sure

Busy indoor restaurant with a large choice of various dishes on the menu. Casual dining. Food good maybe a little overpriced, especially in relation to desserts and main courses, but very good value for pizzas, salads etc. Customer service not the most attentive to people's needs. The doors were left open on a cold and windy night, and we were on a table for two in the centre. We were so cold that we didn't take off our coats. When we asked to be moved to another more sheltered table on the side (no 4, which was for 4 people), it was not allowed, no reason given except that it could be occupied by four people. We were offered another table for two, on the side, between the kitchen and the toilet, possibly less draughty but annoying to have staff and patrons passing by the whole time. We opted to stay put and they put on the AC, but with the door open, it didn't get much warmer. The wine helped more! Needless to say, table 4 remained empty for the rest of the evening. Considering it was after 9pm, I felt our needs should have been accommodated, in preference to potential other customers who never materialised anyway. I would recommend the place only if you are going to be 4 or more.

Today we visited 'Wood & Coal' restaurant in the heart of Attard recommanded by our son who accompanied us.I opted for papardelle beef as a starter whilst my husband chose risotto pumpkin spinach which were very good. For our main course we ordered tagliata and our son opted for a ribeye, all served with roasted potatoes and vegetables. The meat was cooked to perfection and really delicious. We were dissapointed only about the price of the dessert where we paid €6 each which in my opinion as a regular diner would not expect to pay more than €4 blaming myself for not asking the price. Definitely will go again but will survive without the dessert!!

One of the best casual steakhouse restaurant where you don't have to pay top money to eat a great steak. Steer away from the deserts though as they are overpriced at €6 per portion and is not in line with everything else. Desserts are not shown on the menu and are displayed by the waiter at the end of the meal on a tray. Loses one star for this. Otherwise I would have gladly given it five stars. Great starters as well

Wood and Coal is a casual restaurant in Attard. Menu has quite a lot of choice and food is decent. We had a nice dinner here.

Having visited twice now I wanted to share my thoughts on this place. Both times I visited on weekdays with friends and the place filled up by 8. Menu is varied and I can say the pizza is excellent as well as the saffron risotto. Service is friendly and prompt. Thumbs up!

One of the best places where to eat fresh meat. 500g bistecchia was amazing and super juicy. Well done everyone!

Went on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was quiet with few patrons. The ambience is nice and welcoming. Opted for the sumptuous burgers on their well presented menu. It was up to our expectations. The waitress who took care of us was very attentive and professional. Nothing to criticize and will be back for sure.
